Super Sleuth Test #2 - Solution
Lt. Columbo reasoned
that the first two girls were visitors and the third a
native. Even though he didn't hear what the first girl said,
he knew that the only answer he could get was that she was a
visitor, seeing how all natives tell lies and all visitors tell
the truth. The second girl accurately reported what the
first girl said, therefore she had to be a visitor because she was
telling the truth. Since the third girl contradicted the
second girl's statement, Lt. Columbo deduced that she was lying
and therefore a native.
